Only limited data relevant to overdosage with olmesartan medoxomil in humans are available. The most likely effect of olmesartan medoxomil overdosage is hypotension. Overdosage with hydrochlorothiazide is associated with electrolyte depletion (hypokalemia, hypochloremia) and dehydration resulting from excessive diuresis. The most common signs and symptoms of overdosage are nausea and somnolence. Hypokalemia may accentuate cardiac arrhythmias associated with the concomitant use of digitalis glycosides. In the event of overdosage with olmesartan medoxomil-hydrochlorothiazide, treatment should be supportive.
